I would recommend adjustable coilovers in case it ever needs to be towed.

You can get under the car and raise the springs to the bumpers don't scrape.

Re: real car customization
oh so like you can raise it at any moment? rather than springs having to be taken to the shop to lower or raise?

Re: real car customization
There are nuts on the springs that you can adjust yourself. Not easy since you have to take the wheels off. But it is possible.

I've plasti dipped the wheels, emblems, front splitter and rear view mirrors on my Maxima, the engine bay of our Edsel, and the frame and exhaust of AR Z51 Stingrays GMC.
If you have any questions on Plasti dip. I can help.

thats awesome man. i want to paint my rims matte black but i don't know how much i should buy. how many cans did you use per rim? like can just two cans get the job done? i emailed a store and their answer was use a can per rim but thats way to much plasti dip?

Re: real car customization
You need to get at least 4 cans. Keep in mind that the rims are exposed to all sorts of elements, and need proper protection. Only using 2 cans would make the job look choppy, cheap, and would tear apart easily.
I'd also recommend buying a spray handle as well.

Re: real car customization
It's sold at Home Depot because it wasn't originally meant for cars. You can buy it at any car store. I saw it at Advance Auto Parts last week. It's been used on all sort of sports cars as well.
Don't knock it until you try it. Especially when you haven't even heard of it.

It's not paint. Not anywhere close to being paint either.
Are you ever going to do cosmetic mods?

No cosmetics ever. May get some carbon fiber parts if I really get into racing like hoid, hatch, wing, and splitter but only if they will help improve performance.

you should plasti dip the rims at least. it makes the car look completely different.
