forbidden i am really looking into installing an intake but i read that really its either a cold air that you drag down to behind the front bumper. is there anyway of blocking water from being sucked in?

You need a bypass valve. Seems that cold air intakes have problems if you fully submerge the filter. But you may have to look for one that works with a bypass valve. AEM is the best for honda platform.

that seems tricky. I'm guessing the valve is not something everyone adds to theirs. so its suppose to stop the water from passing?

Its a 3 piece intake. You would have the filter and some of the tubing then the valve then the rest of the tubing. It would hold the water you accidentally suck up until you can empty it.

Not really. Only if you hit some giant puddle and submerge the filter.
